The series stars Serinda Swan as Jenny Cooper, a recently widowed coroner in Toronto who investigates suspicious deaths.[2][3]

The series was developed from the M. R. Hallnovels for television by Morwyn Brebner,[4] and was produced by Muse Entertainment, Back Alley Film Productions, and Cineflix Studios, with Adrienne Mitchell as executive producer and lead director.[2]

The first season of Coroner consists of eight episodes.[2] Following the finale of the first season, on March 25, 2019 CBC renewed Coroner for an eight-episode second season.[5] It was announced in May 2020 that a third season is to follow.[6] Centipede slot machine.
